Intern, Documentary Film Program (12-17-2013)
Learning Opportunities: The Documentary Intern will learn how to evaluate and provide feedback on work-in-progress documentaries and gain exposure to documentaries engaged in contemporary social issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the SDF intake process.
Review and evaluate active SDF applications, including submitted footage.
Collect and organize content for Sundance Institute website.
Identify and outreach to documentary filmmakers.
Create presentation materials, DVD dubs and one sheets as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Degree or working towards a degree in film, human rights, non-profit management or anthropology preferred.
Experience working with databases preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of - Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, FileMaker.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Candidates must be proactive and detail oriented.
Must have a strong interest in independent documentaries.
Considerations: Must be able to commit to 20 hours per week Monday – Friday.
