ProCreate Intern

Intern, Documentary Film Program (12-17-2013) 

Learning Opportunities: The Documentary Intern will learn how to evaluate and provide feedback on work-in-progress documentaries and gain exposure to documentaries engaged in contemporary social issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Support the SDF intake process.

 Review and evaluate active SDF applications, including submitted footage.

 Collect and organize content for Sundance Institute website.

 Identify and outreach to documentary filmmakers.

 Create presentation materials, DVD dubs and one sheets as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 Degree or working towards a degree in film, human rights, non-profit management or anthropology preferred.

 Experience working with databases preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILS, AND ABILITIES

 Knowledge of - Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, FileMaker.

 Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 Candidates must be proactive and detail oriented.

 Must have a strong interest in independent documentaries.

Considerations: Must be able to commit to 20 hours per week Monday – Friday.
