Guardians of the Galaxy Breakout Star Getting New Contract, Expected Big Role In Avengers 3
Dave Bautista was the break out star of Guardians of The Galaxy…well one them and his importance in the future of The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not in question anymore. It seems like the Guardians will be the key to bringing us more Thanos (Josh Brolin) to the big screen. Now we understand how Phase 3 of the MCU will work, following The Avengers Age of Ultron we know we are getting a handful of standalone films, including Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and Guardians of The Galaxy 3. According to PWInsider.com, Bautista is reworking his contract to get more money from Marvel and to make sure Drax is front and center for The Avengers 3. Numbers for how much more Bautista will be making were not available but it seems that we will be seeing much more of Drax the Destroyer in future Marvel films. If this is actually true, it could mean more film work for the former wrestler. Following the success of Guardians, Dave Bautista and cast member Chris Pratt became hot commodities; Pratt is the lead in Jurassic World next year. As for Bautista his next role could come in a remake of Kickboxer starring Tony Jaa, MMA champion and Captain America: The Winter Soldier alum Georges St. Pierre and Bautista.
